Daimonji Fire Festival Evening [Wednesday, August 16, 2023
August 16. The Gozan Bonfires light up the night sky in summer. Along with the Gion Festival, it is one of the most famous summer festivals in Kyoto.
Chorakukan is the best place to view the bonfire from every room on the 3rd and 2nd floors.
The event will be held in conjunction with the Gozan Bonfire from 20:00 on the day of the event,
After dinner, the special "Onari-no-Ma" (usually closed to the public), the tea ceremony room, and rooms on the second floor will be open to the public.
Please enjoy the view of the Daimonji, Myoho, and Funagata from Chorakukan.
